Thursday, February 4th, 2010Self control is a vital part of our character as it allows us to operate in our society in an acceptable way. It’s imperative that our children learn self control because its part of relationship management, violence prevention, and positive problem solving. It is also a foundational component to our children’s success in school and later on in work– not to mention, in life! We are excited for this month’s Powerful Words curriculum that will focus on self control, strategies to control oneself, the benefits and rewards of mastering it, and the consequences that come when the temptation to act out, steal, lie, or cheat overtake it.
