Kids Martial Arts

Q: “Will martial arts, karate, tae kwon do teach my child to be hostile and aggressive?”

Absolutely not. Children learn a lot about what it means to be respectful and polite here. As a result, kids who weren't violent in the first place become even more respectful and kind. Kids with behavior problems often become very respectful an calm.

Q: “Can my child still participate in martial arts, karate, tae kwon do if he/she is not athletic?”

Yes! In fact, martial arts is kind of a beacon of light for kids who just don't fit into team sports. Kids who never could throw a ball well or run fast find that martial arts is accessible to them. It's something they excel at, and as a result, their confidence soars.

Q: “Do kids enjoy martial arts, karate, tae kwon do? Do they stick with it for a while?”

Kids have a blast here. There's smiling and laughter throughout every class. We have our moments of intense concentration and focus... but we always balance things out with fun and games to keep everything alive and light.

Q: “Do children's confidence & self-esteem grow with martial arts, karate, tae kwon do?”

Absolutely. Kid with low self-esteem often come out of their shells. As their skill level increases, they feel more and more confident. Other kids look up to them, just as they look up to other kids who are ahead of them. It builds a sense of confidence, pride, and teamwork.

Q: “What's a good age for a child to start martial arts, karate, tae kwon do?”

Honestly, practically every age is a good age to start! We have children as young as 3 years old, as well as teenagers. We also have specific programs for adults. So no matter where you or your child is on the age spectrum - we've got you covered.

Q: “Do boys AND girls take martial arts, karate, tae kwon do?”

Yes! We have a good mix of both girls and boys in our kids martial arts classes! Some people think that the boys are much “stronger and tougher,” but in reality this is not true. In fact, often girls are the stronger ones!

Adult Martial Arts

Q: “What kind of physical shape do I need to be in?”

Any! We have Adult Martial Arts students who are in great shape, and others who aren't. Everyone has a great experience, and learns a ton in every class. Those who start out in not-so-great shape often get in shape very quickly. So if this is you, have no fear! Just come and enjoy Adult Martial Arts.

Q: “What should I do if I have a medical condition?”

If you have a medical condition, a past injury that required surgery and still troubles you from time to time, or anything else that may be of concern... Please speak to a medical professional before joining our classes.

Chances are you'll be more than able to come and enjoy learning Adult Martial Arts. But there may be certain exercises that you'll have to take it slow on. Just let us know what your doctor says!

Q: “What's the risk for injury with these classes?”

Very low, we're proud to say. We take extreme pre-cautions with our program to insure that you stay safe and sound. As with any form of physical activity,Adult Martial Arts comes with a risk for injury. However, because of the lengths we go to teach Krav Maga safely - injuries are very rare here.

Q: “What's the environment of these classes like? Are they fun? Serious? Etc.?”

Our classes are a good mixture of fun & focus. Every class has moments of serious concentration, blended with sheer fun & laughter. After all, all work and no play makes for boring Adult Martial Arts classes!

Fitness Kickboxing

Q: “Do you guys offer only group classes? Or private classes too?”

We offer both for your convenience and learning style. While most of our members enjoy the group setting, you're welcome to speak to our instructors about private classes.

Q: “How many people will be in my class?”

You can probably expect about 15-30 people in your class. It's a really great group full of positive people excited about losing weight. You'll fit right in.

Q: “Do you offer any kind of help / guidance with nutrition and eating?”

We've researched deeply into nutrition to give all of our members powerful guidance - without making them start impossible-to-stick-to diets or anything of the sort.

Q: “Will your kickboxing class help me tone up?”

Definitely. Our entire program was handcrafted to help you get lean & toned. Literally every thing you do here helps you achieve this goal.

Q: “If I do cardiovascular exercise on my own will I get similar results?”

It depends. Many people come to us because working out on their own just wasn't getting them results. If you have the time, will power, and energy to do tons of cardio every week, that's great. However, most of us could use a helping hand! (A helping hand with a proven system doesn't hurt either!)

Q: “How long are the kickboxing classes?”

Kickboxing classes are about 60 minutes long.
